i cld argue that Joey is the only truly innocent one out of the four and thats Not because i have special feelings surrounding #him. i dont agree w/ the idea that frank is worst out of them all. #ALL OF THEM ARE BAD!!!! just differing levels. #also are we ignoring the fact that susie literally murdered a guy during chinese new year just cus she wanted his jacket. #now i dont Disagree that eventually frank probably would have convinced the rest of the group to then do illegal acts but julie very much #had the idea to do it first. she was the first person to bring up the idea. #AND she was the first one to even say that she wanted to 'paint the town red' to frank. she just takes it without much resistance unlike #joey and susie who actively cowered away in fear and had to be convinced. she was one of those true crime girlies who had weirdo levels of knowledge #about murders & murderers and definitely fantasized about committing and getting away with murder #esp in the tome cutscene frank just hands the knife to her and she takes it willingly. like that is so good & could be right and i certainly dont Disagree with it but like. #first i love the idea of the last sentence on frank and his blight cosmetic: him consuming everybody 'good' around him and bringing them- #down with them. #this comment is RIGHT on certain things but so misguided on other things. But after this took place, and after the Trapper resisted its influence, it took off its kid gloves and decided to micromanage the Realms from that point on. Maybe the Entity used to be less hands-on, prior to the hypothetical survivor rebellion. I’d say Claudette is a good candidate for this. It’s possible that one of our current survivors will also end up in the tower, since they know about Vigo and his research, and they’ll likely try to replicate his experiments. Maybe Vigo’s the Observer, having escaped the Void successfully, only to wind up in the tower with the Auris.

Maybe they all tried to escape together, so the Entity killed Vigo, to make an example of him, and condemned the others to the void. Vigo was the brains behind it, but it was a group project. Nikki, Murf, Clyde, etc.) all tried to escape along with Vigo. I wanna put forth the headcanon that the people from the Lost Tapes (i.e. Is it possible that Vigo faked his death? But how do you fake your death, or do anything sneaky, when this eldritch being is constantly watching over you? The only beings in DBD whose power is comparable to the Entity’s are Pyramid Head, The Oni (if he’s actually an oni, now, and not just wearing a mask), Pinhead, and Michael Myers (if you accept the idea that he is evil incarnate). But, again, that leaves me wondering how he died. If you’re gonna make a shroud for someone, it’s because they’ve died. But then he came back from the Void, there was a big escape attempt, and he died in that attempt (because the Entity finally got fed up and smote him). So why is Vigo there when he’s clearly still mentally and emotionally “there”? Maybe he was on timeout, for plotting to escape the Entity’s clutches. It’s weird, though, because the lore tells us that the people in the Void are survivors and killers who have no more vitality/motivation/will to live/emotion-juice anymore. Vigo was probably on timeout for pissing off the Entity. That makes me think Vigo’s dead, but then, how did he die? “Death is not an escape,” right? Did the Entity find out about his shenanigans and smite him? Blight killing Vigo would also explain why Vigo’s journal is in his possession. One of the survivors’ offerings is called Vigo’s Shroud. (ETA: I looked it up and, yeah, it looks like Blight and Vigo knew each other.) If I remember correctly, Blight wasn’t initially a killer, prior to the Blight twisting and corrupting him, and it’s possible they actually did work together to find a way out of the Void. Their similar interests would either make for a disastrous rivalry or an excellent collaboration. Vigo seems to have been a survivor, and if Blight was always a killer in the realm, they probably weren’t exactly buddies. Did Vigo actually escape the Entity’s realm?
